Will I still have to go into the practice?
In most states in the US, for your veterinarian to legally diagnose or prescribe medications to your pet, they need to have done a physical exam on your pet recently. Time frames do vary by state but generally, if you haven't seen your vet in-person in over a year, they are likely going to recommend an in-office visit.
While virtual care is great, not all conditions can be addressed digitally. If your vet feels your pet would be better served with an in-person exam they will let you know.
